The name LHAKEN derives from a mountain climbing equipment called HAKEN.
Hakens support ropes embedded in huge rock walls and they are the most essential pieces of equipment in life-threatening challenges.
Although its use has now been reduced to prevent damage to nature, the Harken marks serve as a guide to reveal the routes of previous climbers.
As our vision is to lead the way in connecting nature and humans together, the name became ‘LHAKEN’ - a compound word of ‘L’, which is the initial letter of words ‘Link’ and ‘Lead’, and ‘HAKEN’.
